Apple seems to be going all-out this year with its limited-time promotions and trade-in offers providing eligible customers with up to $150 or more off the cost of its latest products.
On Wednesday, the Cupertino tech-giant reportedly launched another new promo, and began sending out special holiday-themed promotional codes allowing, for a limited-time only, some Apple Music subscribers to purchase one of its $349 HomePod Siri-speakers at a discounted price.
As MacRumors reports, several U.K.-based Apple Music subscribers have reported receiving e-mails from the tech-giant containing codes for £50 ($56.81) off the MSRP of a new HomePod, bringing the price down to just £269 ($305.66)
The emails from Apple, as provided by MacRumors’ sources, reportedly include this button-style link allowing recipients to “Get Your Promo Code.”
Clicking the link sends customers straight to the official Apple website, with the promotional discount (valid through December 16, 2018) automagically applied to their cart.
Will This Offer Come to the U.S.?
Unfortunately, it’s not clear whether Apple plans on extending this [or even a remotely similar] offer to other regions like the U.S., Canada and elsewhere. In the meantime, U.S. shoppers wanting to get their hands on a HomePod this holiday season will be happy to know that several online retailers are offering super-deep discounts on the Siri-speaker.
B&H, for instance, is currently offering a special Holiday savings of $100 off the cost of either a Space Gray or White HomePod, which brings the cost down to a flat $249 (with free shipping and no sales tax for buyers outside New York, to boot.)
Similarly, Best Buy is currently offering $70 off the cost of HomePod for a limited-time, bringing your buy-in down to just $279 — which is still much less than our friends across the pond will be paying, anyhow.
